Turning Fragmented Marketing into a Strategic Engine for Growth
Ready Marketing partnered with Westal Windows to bring greater consistency, structure and performance to its marketing - turning scattered activity into a more strategic, always-on digital presence. The key win was creating stronger alignment between sales and marketing, helping Westal build brand awareness across key regions, support builder relationships more effectively, and generate more consistent lead flow through digital channels.
Westal’s objectives included growing from $25 million to $40 million turnover, lifting lead generation, and improving conversion through a more integrated marketing and sales approach.
Key project highlights included…

Implemented a consistent social media and content strategy showcasing projects, builders and product expertise.
Activated monthly EDM campaigns to a database of nearly 4,000 builders, generating regular engagement and warmer sales conversations.
Developed marketing tools and follow-up systems that better supported the sales team and improved lead conversion.
Increased brand awareness in priority growth regions including Singleton, Canberra and the Central West.
BACKGROUND
Westal Windows engaged Ready Marketing after identifying a number of barriers that were limiting growth. While the business had strong foundations (a third-generation family-owned operation, multiple branches, a wide product range, fast quoting capability and a solid reputation for customer service), its marketing lacked consistency and structure.
The original review found website SEO issues, weak search visibility, limited social media activity, an underutilised database, outdated brochures, and a lack of time and process around networking and lead follow-up. Westal also wanted to strengthen visibility outside Orange, particularly in Singleton, the broader Central West and Canberra.
OBJECTIVES
- Position Westal as the go-to supplier for quality glazed windows and doors.
- Build stronger brand awareness outside Orange, especially in Singleton, Canberra and surrounding regional markets.
- Increase market leads through digital marketing.
- Grow the value of existing account clients through better prospecting and higher conversion rates.
- Support the sales team with a stronger, more consistent sales and follow-up process.
Just as importantly, the business wanted marketing to better reflect its real strengths: fast and accurate quoting, reliable lead times, knowledgeable service, strong account management, and the ability to support builders and homeowners across a range of projects and budgets.

STRATEGY & CONCEPT
Ready Marketing developed a strategy that connected Westal’s brand, digital marketing and sales process into one practical growth plan.
At the heart of the strategy was a simple idea: bring Westal’s vision to life by making the business more visible, more trusted and easier to choose. The brand work clarified Westal’s positioning as a knowledgeable, progressive, supportive and responsive supplier with a sense of urgency and purpose.
From there, the strategy focused on four key areas:
1. Strengthening Digital Foundations
A website review identified technical and SEO issues that were reducing discoverability, including broken links, poor indexing, missing metadata and weak mobile performance. The strategy recommended repairing these issues, improving technical content, adding case studies and product information, and ensuring every page better supported search visibility and quote generation.
2. Building Consistency Across Content & Social
A major shift was moving Westal from irregular posting to a consistent content rhythm. We recommended regular activity across Facebook and Instagram, stronger use of video and reels, builder shout-outs, project showcases, testimonials and story-led product marketing. This was designed to strengthen visibility, build familiarity and highlight the people, products and projects behind the brand.
3. Aligning Marketing With The Sales Process
Rather than treating marketing as separate from sales, we built a plan that directly supported Westal’s team on the ground. That included monthly EDMs to a database of almost 4,000 home builder contacts, product-focused calls to action, stronger lead capture, and a clearer prospect follow-up process through Odoo. The plan also recommended templates, checklists, dedicated prospecting periods, and follow-up workflows to help convert warm opportunities into active quotes and orders.
4. Supporting Market Expansion With Regional Relevance
We shaped campaigns to support Westal’s expansion markets, especially Canberra and regional NSW, with a focus on local credibility, builder relationships and practical sales support. The broader Ready Marketing approach emphasised that builders buy relationships first and products second, and that visibility, follow-up and builder-focused proof points outperform one-off activations.
OUTCOMES
The work helped Westal shift from ad hoc marketing to a far more consistent and commercially useful approach.
- Social media, activity increased significantly. Facebook grew from 15 posts across 2022 to 193 posts in 2024, while page likes and followers also increased. A Facebook Ads campaign for the Singleton branch delivered 20,769 reach and 237 link clicks, showing stronger digital traction in a priority market.
- Email marketing also became a stronger asset, with monthly campaigns sent to a database of nearly 4,000 builder contacts, achieving an average open rate of 40% and an average click-through rate of 3%. This helped create more regular touchpoints with builders and supported a steady pipeline of warmer sales conversations.
- The strategy helped bring sales and marketing into lock step. Marketing was no longer just about brand presence; it was built to support quote activity, account growth, product education, prospecting and conversion. By focusing on reliability, support, digital consistency and clearer positioning, Westal was better equipped to strengthen existing builder relationships while growing awareness in new regions.

KEY LEARNINGS
- Always build on real business strengths - Effective marketing reflects how the business actually wins work. Westal’s messaging focused on responsiveness, service, fast quoting, delivery reliability and knowledgeable support — strengthening trust with builders and trade partners.
- Consistency drives momentum - Ongoing activity proved more effective than one-off campaigns. Regular content, email marketing and builder-focused storytelling built visibility and credibility over time.
- Marketing must support sales - The strongest results came when marketing actively enabled the sales process. Content, EDMs, testimonials, case studies and follow-up systems work together to support lead conversion.
- Alignment enables growth - When sales and marketing align around clear commercial goals and consistent digital visibility, sustainable growth becomes far more achievable.
