Revealing the Stories Behind an Iconic Brand

Tamburlaine was established in 1966. In 1985, the Hunter winery was purchased by a small group of friends and relatives led by Managing Director and Chief Winemaker, Mark Davidson.

Mark’s long-held winemaking philosophy centred around Contemporary Organic practices in the vineyard and the winery. Following several challenging years of research and development, Tamburlaine became one of Australia’s largest producers of organic wines with vineyards in the Hunter Valley and Orange Region.

Tamburlaine approached Ready Marketing in early 2020 following their expansion in the Orange Wine Region via the purchase of a winery facility at Cudal.

The multi award-winning organic winemaker was keen for some fresh local marketing ideas to be injected into the well-known brand. Key to the project was creation and dissemination of the many “good news” stories on the horizon for the winery and revealing the narratives behind the scenes of the iconic brand.

Working as Part of the Team

Working closely with key members of the Tamburlaine Marketing and Winemaking Team, Ready Marketing provided creative content and campaign concepts – working through the process from inception to approval and distribution.

Via a monthly retainer, Ready effectively acted as a central marketing team member helping to share the wins, profiling the talented staff, and telling the stories behind the iconic award-winning wine label.
